"Nice, caring and friendly staff"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Geriatric Assessment

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I have received good patient care in ward 9 UHW. I have been happy with the meals although sometimes the portion sizes are too big even when you ask for a smaller portion. I feel I do not get enough of an update on my treatment plan and discharge. I require regular painkillers and don't see to get them on time.

Otherwise the staff are nice, caring and friendly

Dear McG12

Thanks for sharing your experience with staff and allowing them to post it on Care Opinion. By patients sharing their experience it allows us to review our service and make improvements.

I am pleased you have received good patient care, but acknowledge that you felt you did not get enough of an update on your treatment plan or discharge, or your painkillers on time. I will ensure this is reviewed with the nursing team so we can make improvements to get it correct in future.

I hope you continue to make a good recovery

Regards

Janice
