I was admitted to Ward 2B for a Total Hip Replacement. I want to take this opportunity to commend all of the staff on the ward involved in my care, and I mean CARE!
From the ladies who cleaned and offered us tea and coffee, the nursing students, nursing assistants and qualified nurses they were exemplary in their care and kindness throughout my stay. Their support and ability to increase my confidence with my daily living tasks was incredible.
Even the member of staff who took time out his day to chat to me about the oyster catchers nesting to pass time while waiting for my X Ray.
The food was excellent, nutritious and tasty.
The surgical team recovery nurses and surgeon all took their time to ensure any fears were put to rest and truly put the patient first.
My physiotherapists Georgie and Morag who were fantastic in making sure I was safe and confident in my transfers and mobility.
My experience was indeed a first class one, from a dedicated experienced NHS team.
"A dedicated experienced NHS team."
