We are very grateful to all involved with the care provided to our son, who has made a fantastic recovery.

A&E team: thank you for your patience and endeavour to get to the bottom of his symptoms which proved invaluable. Your kindness and calmness was also so reassuring and much appreciated.

Consultant Surgeons: thank you for taking such good care of our son and for your swift decision making on his treatment (as well as taking the time to discuss with him personally the need to go straight to surgery).

Consultant Anaesthetists: thank you and the wider team for taking such good care of him. He fondly recalls the discussion about Fortnite before dozing off and going into theatres.

Theatres Team, Recovery Team and the gentleman who escorted Marcus through the Hospital: thank you all for looking after our son so well.

Children’s Ward: You are all so wonderful and kind and caring too. There are a few who were more involved in looking after our son and we are particularly grateful to them as well as extra special thanks to those who were so kind and supportive with my dilemma in removing dressings post-op!
