"Beyond amazing"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a service user),

We called 999 for assistance when our son was short of breath one night suddenly out of the blue. The call handler was calm. We were not. It would have been helpful to have them tell us how far away the ambulance was as we were panicking as my son was so short of breath. Otherwise very professional. 

The ambulance crew Craig was beyond amazing. He knew instantly what was wrong. It was croup (viral) he reassured us it wasn't anything we had done. He was very clear and concise and put us at ease instantly. He offered us all options and put no pressure on us to make any choice that would make us uncomfortable. My son is now happy and back to his usual cheeky self. Thank you to everyone involved.
