"Flexible Sigmoidoscopy - Leicester General Hospital (LGH)"

About: Leicester General Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

Following on my previous article regarding my painful procedure Hysteroscopy

2018 at the Leicester General Hospital (LGH).

I would like to offer my sincere thanks to the Flexible Sigmoidoscopy department at the Leicester General Hospital (LGH).

The day before, after attending my Gyno appointment,

at the Leicester Royal Infirmary (LRI),   was given a list of preparation with a liquid to take.   I followed this list as I was scared of being turned away & repeat.

I was nervous and anxious (first time) but put to ease with excellent Nurses and Consultant(s).   They discovered and removed a tiny Polyp there and then

(later test suggested if left, the Polyp would develop into cancer) . It was more uncomfortable than mild pain (so unlike my Hysteroscopy).

Afterwards, I was lying down and taken to a recovery mixed gender ward.  My blood pressure was low & a cup of tea with a biscuit solved this.

I relaxed for a while , didn't feel rushed (as opposed to my previous article. regarding my Hysteroscopy).  I felt so clear headed for 2 days, then the brain fogginess came back.
