"Suspected temporal arteritis"

About: Alma Road Surgery

I visited the surgery complaining of a headache over my left temple.

The doctor immediately suspected temporal arteritis and arranged for a nurse to take blood samples.

These were sent through to Southampton General Hospital the same morning, and within a few hours the Dr. had telephoned me to say the tests were clear and I had no need to be concerned.

The Nhs receives so many complaints but I have only praise for the efficient and speedy blood service, and the reassuring phone call later in the day.

Given the number of patients registered with this Practice I consider they cope extremely well.

The receptionists are friendly and professional.
