Last week I was admitted with a nasty bout of ecoli sepsis and I'm 35 weeks pregnant. From the off set of being admitted and not knowing what was wrong, I was fully cared for and put at ease. At first I was admitted to the Westburn ward where Kay (I think her name was) took exceptional care of me and reassured my partner. Unfortunately my condition couldn't be managed in Westburn and I was transferred to one on one care in the recovery (Labour) ward where every single member of staff was absolutely excellent and kept me going.
ALL staff should be highly praised. Nothing was ever a bother and was always cared for at the highest standard no matter how busy they were. I was then transferred to Ashgrove ward where the girls were just lovely and made my stay that little bit easier.
Within 5 days I was ready to be discharged and came back home. Soon I'll be back into AMH to deliver my second baby and I really have no hesitation that me and my baby will be cared for with the highest standard. All staff at AMH are a credit to the NHS!! And don't get enough praise for the brilliant work they do!
"Every single member of staff was absolutely excellent"
