The friendly and efficient initial receptionist greeting was matched by the considerate, reassuring, informative and effective treatment which I experienced by the nurse practitioner staff member.
The special dressing and bandaging which I was given to stem the blood flow of the scissor cut in my thumb top, was undertaken with due attention
and care, and I departed well pleased with the visit.
However, in direct contrast to the positive actual clinical patient management, what is URGENT and IMPORTANT, is the necessity to correct and improve the misleading and barely visible small road signs.
Travelling eastwards on the A48 from Chepstow, I initially missed the required left turning north into BREAM ROAD.
Subsequent examination revealed that the red H Minor Injury Unit sign had been turned around a right angle and was pointed directly EASTWARDS straight into town!?
In addition, the next sign to the left off BREAM ROAD pointing immediately to the
COMMUNITY HOSPITAL was very small and potentially again easily missed and unsatisfactory.
It is clearly self-evident that the NHS Lydney Hospital executive need to contact the appropriate highway authority TOMORROW , to ensure that the sings are corrected and fit for purpose ASAP.
Many thanks.
