I didn't think anything could be worse than Queens A&E, until I had to use Queens' replacement
Emergency Department.
OMG - I went there because I felt dreadlfully unwell (feeling very sick and suffering with hot sweats, acute pain and lethargy).
There is an extreme and distinct lack of dignity and respect. You have to shout your details through a window where there is no privacy and other patients are sitting a foot behind you and directly behind you,
The triage is a joke (well it is'nt funny really) - there is'nt even a triage room - you sit behind an open glass divider.
I had to stand for nearly two hours - before finally sitting on the floor because I was so unwell - and was finally seen by a doctor 3.5 hours later.
I am a 51 year old female, insulin dependant diabetic who has worked for the NHS for more that 35 years.
This is the service and standards of care our NHS currently provides to emergency patients...... an absolute disgrace.
I am disgusted.
