"Midwives"

I cannot express how much every single person at the QEH made me feel giving birth to my first baby. From what started as a calm and relaxed beginning in the water lily with a lovely lady, and ending a little stressful but so well controlled by my Midwife and everyone involved. Not once did I feel like control was taken away from me and my decision making even when the situation became a little frantic and everyone from the midwives at hand to the doctors to the surgical team were so kind and patient explaining everything and asking for my wishes as we went along. A special thank you from the bottom of me and my partners heart to the Midwife, who must of felt like her entire shift that day was stuck by my side but who made sure that I safety delivered a beautiful 10lb boy and really did make the whole experience so calm and controlled considering how awful it could of felt.
