I accompanied my elderly mother to the NHS ENT clinic at this hospital.
I am a retired health professional and remember that it was always drilled into me on every occasion to look at the patient, listen to the patient and to get a good history of the complaint.
In the time that it took me to find a parking space (having dropped her off at the entrance), she had been in, seen by the Dr. and was on her way out.
She was given a cursory exam, very little history taking and then told there is nothing wrong.
I immediately made another appointment at a Boots hearing clinic who said there is something wrong, referred her to her GP, who agreed that there is something wrong and she is now going through the referral procedure again to have the condition treated properly.
I can't help suspecting that this private hospital is taking NHS money but is certainly not providing at least the minimum level of treatment I would expect .
