"How am I ever supposed to see a doctor?"

About: One Medicare LLP-the Light

I tried calling the doctors surgery at 8am this morning to book an appointment. I was told the first appointment I could get was in a weeks time. I said that was too late i needed to see a doctor much sooner. I am told there's no walk in and I should call again at 8 on Monday as they give some appointments away first thing (it's Thursday) but I have tried calling at them at 8am?!

I give up in tearful frustration. looks like I'm going to have to visit a hospital and waste their resources when I really only need to see my GP

Will be moving surgeries asap.

Dear Patient,

Thank you for your feedback, we take all comments very seriously and use them as a means to improve care. The receptionist was correct, that we no longer offer a walk in clinic, we stopped providing this service over a year ago. We are however, in the process of redesigning our appointment process, to enable easier access to our appointments. This will hopefully improve your experience if you have chosen to remain at the surgery - it will be rolled out within weeks.

Regards,

The Light Surgery
