On 8/4/2018 I had the misfortune to have to take my 95 year old father out of his house to the Urgent care centre as he was very unwell and totally confused
It was 8.00pm and I was unable to lift him into the wheel chair myself get him down the steps out of the house and into my van so enlisted the help of my oldest son
Unfortunately, my van is only a two seater so my son kindly offered to follow me to the hospital in his car and help me to get him out of the van into the walk in centre and back again
It was traumatic for him and stressful for both my son and myself
It was dark there wasn't another car in the car park and we didn't notice the Parking Eye signs and for our sins we both received a £40 fine
It cost the family £80 to take my dad to the urgent care centre and we feel we have been scammed
Next time I will ring for an ambulance an insist he is taken to A&E at North Tees
