"Not good"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

My wife had a total knee replacement on the 9th of Apri. She is currently unable to do the exercises requred to ensure the success of this surgery due to massive blisters covering the entire surgery site. These blisters were caused by an allergic reactionto the dressings used in the immediate post operative phase. This was recognised on the wardon the 11th of April 😑 but even after being told that she was having a reaction to the dressungs it took more than three hours for someone to actually come arpund and change the dressings. Since her discharge my wife has been in more pain grom the blisters than the surgery and this is seriously hampering her recovery.
