"Still waiting for results"

About: Salford Royal / Neurology

I was first seen by a consultant in the neurology department Mid January 2018 following a visit to A&E and an expedited referral from my GP. He said I had an unstable fracture in my lower spine from my A&E X-rays.

My final scan was completed mid Feb and and still have not had any results. I have left messages weekly explaining that I’ve been told I can not work due to the risk to the fracture and I am self employed so I have no income. I know an MRI scan would take moments for a consultant to read so I am really confused as to what is going on. Surely if my fracture was unstable I would not be allowed to continue daily life without treatment?

All I have asked for is a phone call to explain. I am incredibly frustrated as I would have gone privately had I known the wait would be so long, to cut my loses on 4&1/2 months of lost earnings and a job offer during this time.

Please can someone tell me when I might know more so I know whether to go privately or if I really will find out soon?
