"Services are shocking!"

About: Southglade Medical Practice

From day 1 at this doctors 90% of the service received has been totally shocking!

Being prescribed the wrong antibiotics for a kidney infection then being spoken to like a child by the receptionist when trying to explain to her why I couldnt come down to the surgery for the second time that day. Her seeing me struggle to walk through the pain the first time i came that day.

Being told they couldnt prescribe me the only medication ever to help my severe migraines because id "already had a packet that month" even though id never had a limit before, only get 6 tablets in a packet and can go through 3 tablets in a day. No willingness to help further or review history of meds just shut down and that was that.

Prescribing me a strong medication that requires a referral without actually referring me. This medication has strong side affects.

The receptionists just freely want you to discuss your health issues over the phone at 8am when i am on public transport to work and also at the desk in reception infront of neighbours from my area. Where is the dignity in that?

I moved from another surgery to get away from two doctors because they are quite rude, condescending and unapproachable only for them to follow to Southglade. Another doctor also isnt very welcoming or caring.

One doctor is an angel on a sinking ship. If your at the surgery and you need to see a doctor i would 100% advise you to request this doctor. He is good at jis job, he cares, he is friendly, open and honest and has a kind manner that makes you feel at ease. He has never let me down yet! Its just a shame you cant always get the Dr you need when you need them but honestly id rather wait unwell for this doctor than see anyone else.

After so much bad publicity you would think something would be done. But Southglade are just happy to keep delivering poor service and neglect their duty of care.

I can see from your comments that you have had a difficult experience with Southglade Medical Practice. From 1st April 2018 Nottingham City GP Alliance have taken over the practice from Tudor House. We therefore have a new manager and reception team though I am pleased that the male GP you refer to is still with us. We have a new lead GP - Dr Nnadi who has worked for the practice in the past and she is very popular with patients. It looks as though you may need a medication review so would ask you to contact the practice to arrange this. Improvements are in progress in the waiting room to improve privacy, if you come to the desk you can be seen in the privacy room to discuss appointments. If you call the practice the team identify you by asking your date of birth and do not say your name out loud. I hope this reassures you that we take comments on board and are working to improve the service
