"Surgical abortion"

I visited the Manchester clinic over the weekend for a surgical abortion. My appointment was at 7.45 and I was seen sat down with a nurse by 8. I didn’t know how far along I was in the pregnancy so was extremely nervous to have a scan, but the nurse was the kind and understanding.

Upon getting my scan I found that I was 23 weeks to the day but still knew I couldn’t continue with the pregnancy when I already have 2 young children I am bringing up on my own.

The doctor on that day doesn’t like to carry out abortions after 22 weeks on someone who’s had a precious c-section but he never once turned me away. He checked to make sure there would be no complications and reassured me.

From the moment I walked into the clinic to the moment I left, I felt I was surrounded by warmth from every single staff member.

I am sharing my story as I have read so many reviews that give you suxh anxiety before attending the clinic, but I don’t have one negative comment to make.
