My family have been patients at this practice for 20 years, it used to be brilliant. In the last year or so things have gone very downhill. I totally agree with other reviews, getting a routine appointment is impossible, I think there is more chance of wining the national lottery ! The receptionists, although pleasant, are clearly frustrated with the system themselves.
The 'hub' is NOT the answer ! My son recently had an infected elbow, I tried to get an appointment and even the hub was totally overloaded, this was on a Tuesday afternoon and all that the apologetic receptionist could offer was an 'out if hours' on Saturday !? We did a 28 mile round trip to Woking Community Hospital walk-in clinic for my son to get antibiotics. For some people the hub might be o.k. but what about continuity of care ?
Rather than the hub, why not a walk in clinic, open until 8 p.m. like in Woking ? It is nurse led, we were seen within 20 minutes, very efficient. Get things done and dusted.
As for peoople not turning up for appointments, the old system of turning up, taking a number and waiting it out, seems to have been the best !
"Ridiculous"
