There is extremely long waiting times to be accepted onto the waiting list then to be assessed then receive the chair. I felt there was little consideration of your needs as a person beyond moving around your home. Disabled people have lives and the equipment is not a luxury despite some staff's attitudes. Restricting wheelchair choice to what suits only home needs rather than providing equipment that doesn't cause discomfort or restricts life opportunities like work study or leisure is not in keeping with their own guidance and not cost effective. An arbitrary and completely opaque decision making process is in place.
