"Scan request"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital / Accident and emergency

I had gone to see my GP about severe tummy pains and throwing up and she had recommended I get a scan done. Unfortunately she was unable to book an appointment as nobody was picking up at the scan department at Whipps cross so she gave me a letter and told me to head to A&E.

I stayed for 5 hours and had a blood test and urine test done within that time. i never got my blood tests back and when i was seen by GP she stated that as i had been given pain killers and the pain had gone down i would be contacted the next day or the day after at the most to be booked in by the scan department to have my scan done.

I agreed and went home. I never heard anything back and contacted the scan department 5 days later to be told they had no information about me and i had to go back to my GP for a referral to be done for me.

Absolutely ridiculous how my GP had already requested this on the sheet that was given to me to show when i went to A&E in the first place. Now having to go back again and start the whole process again and still have no blood test results back.

Just great it is! NOT!
