Literally walked into a door this morning and split my eyebrow. Attended Bart's Minor Injuries Unit at c. 8.30am. Receptionist was lovely and my nurse/medic was friendly,efficient and very helpful. A clean up, couple of sutures and I was done in 50 mins! Wonderful service and great staff - made me feel very proud of our NHS. THANK YOU!
Rather than clogging up A+E and waiting an inordinate time whilst more serious cases are dealt with, Minor Injury Units are better for the patient and hospital and more effective for the economy. I was back at work within 90 mins.
