"My Granddaughter's blood test"

About: Good Hope Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a service user),

My granddaughter had to have a blood test at the Good Hope Hospital.  Unfortunately we arrived near the end of the shift and my Granddaughter was very nervous and became hysterical.  Fortunately the paediatric nurse Elizabeth was on hand.

She worked above and beyond the call of duty, calming her down and talking to her.

Elizabeth was amazing a throwback to the old fashioned values of nursing care.

I am extremely grateful for her intervention and wish to put on record my appreciation and respect for her

I am pleased, that although your grand-daughter was very nervous and became hysterical, that the Paediatric Nurse was able to reassure and calm her down.
