I recently was admitted to the hospital for a spinal decompression operation, I have to say the treatment and care I received was excellent. The recovery doctor's and nurses were very caring understanding as were those involved with my surgery. The consultant overseeing my treatment was second to none as was his staff, including anethesist, recovery team, ward nurses and physiotherapist. My discharge home was the following day to my operation was quicker than expected but very good and am recovering well at home, all necessary paperwork for my follow up treatment was in place. I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery and am sure the final recovery at home will be successful. Over this winter the NHS has been under extreme pressure, and I suffered many cancelled operation dates due to shortage of beds which was stressful to me, but once a bed was available I have nothing but admiration for all aspects of my surgery, aftercare, recovery whilst in William Harvey Hospital. Very well done to all involved, thank you.
"Very satisfied with my treatment and care."
