"A heartfelt thank you"

About: Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust

Unfortunate enough to need emergency admission but lucky enough to be at Epsom hospital.

Literally from the ambulance crew, who arrived so promptly and helped to the Resus ward who were fast, responsive, calming and super efficient and then on to Gloucester ward where I don't have enough superlatives to describe how kind, thoughtful and generous with their time and knowledgei. I am also in awe of their patience, I'm sure not every patient is a joy to work with yet I never witnessed anything other than kindness and gentle encouragment. I would also like to praise the doctor's and their teams, without exception each doctor I spoke to was prepared to talk through any concerns I had and allow me to understand my condition better and, consequently, I hope, handle it better. It's not always easy to welcome a doctor who's arrived in the dead of night armed with a big needle and the need for an arterial blood sample, the fact that I did is a testament to their lovely attitude and approach. In such a professional atmosphere it's easy to overlook other staff who have a more basic but nevertheless important job but the smiles and welcoming attitude from them all contribute to a relaxed and happy atmosphere in the ward which is an advantage.

My sincere thanks and gratitude to them all and congratulations to the person/people responsible for creating such work environment.
