I was in severe pain with a kidney stone yesterday as I discovered after a long process of being seen, checked, monitored and scanned by the NHS staff at Pinderfield's Hospital.
My experience of the staff is a very appreciative and positive one.
Those doctors, nurses and staff barely stopped for breath in the time I was there, and I was in the A & E department for some 7 hours. Yes, a very long time but this was to be expected such was the demand on the services on a busy Saturday, and although it was a long old slog, I was so thankful for the staff's wonderful care during my time there. Their help, advice and treatment was first class, despite being under extreme stress. I truly was taken aback at how they managed to cope and in my view, the wonderful nurses and doctors who looked after me should receive medals, truly.
Although my treatment is ongoing, I just had to express my thanks and experience.
We should be so very thankful for the NHS and its hardworking staff, from the tea lady to the consultants.
Bless them all!
