I'm generally quite a healthy person and tend not to visit my GP very often, so when I go it is because I am actually pretty concerned about something.
I went yesterday, having booked an appointment online during Christmas, so after a 3 week wait, I finally reached my appointment.
I waited 20 minutes in the waiting room, only to be in and out of my appointment in less than 2 minutes.
I was smirked at by the doctor I saw and told that a very painful back was "Just one of those things" and "was nothing sinister". Also, that an incredibly painful elbow was "Tennis Elbow" and would "go away" (even though it's been present for 3 months already.
No suggestion of physiotherapy. No suggestion of further investigation. Nothing.
Absolutely pointless visit, and this is not the first time.
My previous visit was also less than 2 minutes, and a prescription had been printed even before I had finished talking about what was wrong.
"I'm unlikely to return."
