"I was provided with the very best care as set out..."

About: Fairfield General Hospital

What I liked

I was admitted to Ward 8 in July 2011 for a right total knee replacement. I was given the very best possible care and kept being reassured and informed during all stages of my stay there. All of the staff worked as part of a team and the high standard of patient care provided by the Ward Management and their staff is something all wards and units in the Pennine Trust should aspire to. It was simpe little touches that provided patients and their families with a wonderful impression of what the Pennine Trust are trying to acheive.

What could be improved

Variety of food, particularly choice of sandwich filling as if you are having an extended stay, the choice becomes limited.

Dear Maria,

Thank-you for your comments regarding your visit to Orthopaedics at Fairfield General Hospital. We do value all feedback from patients as well as their relatives and carers. We will forward your comments to the appropriate department manager for their attention. In addition, your remarks in regard to sandwich choices will be sent on to the catering manager at Fairfield.
