"Nursing staff appear to lost the passion..."

What I liked
My aunt was taken to A & E after falling and banging her head. My aunt has dementia and was treated awfully, all the staff apeared bothered about was 'their own safety', which I agree is important, but they did not speak to her in the correct manner and told us when she had to be admitted that should she show signs of 'kicking off' (nurses words) they will phone security to sit with her. This lady was frightened and confused and the only comfort they offered to her and us was 'we'll call security'.
When my aunt's residential care home manager arrived early in the morning they sent her away and told her to come back at visiting times. Within 30 minutes of the manager leaving they asked her to come back as they could not cope with her!. The care manager did go back and stayed with her until 11pm as none of the nursing staff at A & E and on a ward was happy to look after her.
To top it all when the staff arranged transport back to the residential home late in the afternoon, they took her back to previous address!
These events at Kings Mill set my aunt back weeks and I lost all faith with the hospital and should I need treatment or a member of my family we would sooner travel 20 miles rather than attend this hospital.
What could be improved
All nursing staff to have training on dealing with people with dementia.
Departments to improve their communication skills between each other
