This is one of the best hospitals I have had the pleasure to use, my waiting time was within the bounds of the NHS and the aftercare was excellent. After a TKR last April, I have just been for my 12 month review and all is good. I am now able to swim, walk and cycle without pain. I cannot thank my surgeon enough.
The scar is a little ugly at the moment but I have been advised by the nurse at my GP practice to use some special scar correcting plasters and these will help it fade. The physiotherapy I received from Selby Memorial Hospital was amazing, and was the key to me getting a really excellent range of movement back.
