"Very Impressed"

About: York Hospital / Accident and emergency

My partner was taken by ambulance to A and E with urinary infection and pneumonia.

I would like to express my thanks to all staff members at A and E and Wards 21 and 35.

My partner who was very confused was treated with respect and kindness.

Staff were friendly and approachable.

My only concern would be that there is no opportunity for convalescence and for older careers it is hard to take over complete care when the patient has been carefully watched and monitored whilst in hospital but is then speedily dispatched home with no on-going support.

However, overall the care was impressive and good humoured.

Lesley
