"Stroke Unit"

About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) (London)

Moved over to St Georges from Croydon University Hospital last weekend with possible mini - stroke. Staff very welcoming and helpful in A&E and at midnight upon admission to the ward. Offered a drink and sandwich!

Monitored throughout night. MRI scan 09.30 Sunday morning.

Excellent discussions with Doctors and Nurses. Ward nurse very pleasant and caring.

Scans examined by two Doctors. Decided not stroke but bad vertigo attack.

Discharges that afternoon with full set of notes, new meds and follow up program.

Ward nurse hastened departure by chasing up pharmacy.

All 6 patients in this ward treated with the same professional approach.

No complaints at all.

Who says nothing happens in hospitals at weekends?

(Mayday were equally professional during my time there)
