I had gone into the hospital for the draining of my abscess. Before I begin I would like to say that the day time staff and the team who did my surgery were amazing, however it was the night time staff i had issues with.
Following the surgery I was very drowsy and dizzy as well as feeling weak. The nurse on duty that night had persuaded my parents for me to stay in hospital as the nurse believed I was too weak to go home. Following this advice I stayed the night. As soon as my parents left the nurse had came to check my blood pressure and I could sense they were being off with me, after this they closed my curtains and continued to bad mouth me to the other patients. This made me feel very paranoid due to the fact that I was alone for the very first time and suffer from anxiety.
Due to this I couldn't get to sleep all night. Because I was so scared of what the nurse was going to say I had to pretend to be asleep every time they went to check on me. Overall, they made me feel very insecure and I would like them to know that I heard every bad word they said about me such as wanting me to go home when in fact they were the one that was adamant that I stayed.
I hope that no one has to receive the terrible service that I received that night.
"They made me feel very insecure"
