"Being treated with empathy and understanding"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / General Medicine (wards 8, 10, 11, 14, 18 & 27)

(as the patient),

Myself and colleague arrived at the RAH in Paisley after being assaulted whilst working as fellow emergency service workers.

We were both spoken to by the nurse in charge and assessed by the duty consultant.

Both the consultant and Stephen treated us with respect and dignity with a high level of understanding and empathy.

I would like phrase both individuals but also the fellow staff who were on duty at the time. This was a very humbling experience and certainly an experience which will never leave me.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on Care Opinion. It is always rewarding for staff when a patient or relative takes the time to comment so positively on their experience.

The situation that lead to your requiring our care must have been extremely distressing. I will ensure that the ED staff and particularly those mentioned are made aware of your comments.

I hope that you are recovering well.

Kind regards
