"Unable to order repeat medication"

About: Market Hill 8 to 8 Centre

I can only get into town maybe once per week due to rapidly changing work conditions. Come in to order my repeat prescription only to find you're doing staff training (again). This is the second time this has happened. Why do staff training during opening hours?

So I go home to see if I can order it online, and your website tells me I have to go into the practice to register for online services! Which is just great, I suspect they'll be shut for training when I do that also.

Now I may run out of medication before I can order and collect some more. Don't worry too much though, it's only a matter of life and death.

Thank you for your comment. All GP practices in this area close for training on the second Wednesday of every month from 1:00pm-6:30pm. I am sorry you wasnt aware of this and had a wasted visit to the practice. In regards to your prescription, you can post your repeat slip in the prescription orders box which is situatued on the wall next to reception, you are able to post your prescription whether we are open or closed and as stated on the box, your prescription will be ready within 48 hours. Alternatively, you can register with a local pharmacy, where they can order your medication for you, and your prescription can be sent electronically to the pharmacy. There is also the option of ordering online, but you do need to register, which you can do over the phone or by coming into the surgery. If you give me a call on 01724 292000 I would be happy to assist you further to avoid you missing any medication. Many thanks, Lucy - Supervisor
