I wanted to thank all the staff who looked after me and my husband in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
My husband has vascular dementia and was clearly in discomfort so was referred to the hospital for tests. He became confused being on his own in hospital and kept wandering around on the ward so the nurses set up a wee bed for me next to him so that I could stay with him. He was not so confused then, the nurses said this helped both them and my husband and were very pleased to have me on the ward with my husband. I wanted to thank the senior nurse Louise for making this possible.
When they did scans nothing showed up so the doctors could not understand why my husband was having this discomfort. Dr Alderton persisted and asked for the scan to be done again sightly differently and this showed up 4 stones in his gall bladder. After this they were able to remove the stones, my husband is now able to eat and enjoy his food normally without any problems. So, thank you also to Dr Alderton.
