"Prompt attention"

I understand some people may feel they cannot get an appointment unless they lie and say it is an emergency, but surely same day appointments should only be for urgent matters. Possibly some of the other patients who left not such good reviews should have asked their pharmacist for advice as the first port of call.

I occasionally make appointments for my elderly mother and have usually been offered an appointment for her within a couple of days.

This afternoon when I visited my mother, it was obvious she was feeling quite unwell. I called the surgery and explained her symptoms to the receptionist, who gave my mother an urgent appointment within two hours.She is now being treated for a urinary tract infection with antibiotics. She was seen promptly on arrival and given a thorough check up by the nurse practitioner who was efficient, kind and friendly and was was able to prescribe suitable medication.
