"Scottish Health Council"

About: NHS Forth Valley

(as other),

I would like to comment on the exceptional service from the Forth valley office, the young lass I speak to, Michelle, is ever so nice and friendly and she always gives me the time of day, most people see us as dithering oldies but she genuinely gives me and the people in the community her time which to people like me means a lot, she’s a lovely girl and very pleasant to speak to and im grateful to the time she gives me and my friends, she was ever so helpful to us when she worked for other services across Forth valley and its great to see this continue on in the Scottish Health Council, makes such a difference to get such a welcome when you make contact with a health service these days and me and my friends always feel very welcomed when we make contact with the Forth Valley Office.

Another woman from this office, a blonde haired woman called Pauline, comes to a lot of meetings across Forth Valley, she is always chatty and smiley and can always answer the questions me and my friends have and if she can't then she goes away and finds out for us which is more than most people do and she actually takes the time to get back to us, this is the kind of service that makes a difference.

The other Scottish Health Council staff should take a leaf out of the book of the Forth Valley office when it comes to providing a service, Michelle and Pauline have provided exceptional support across Forth Valley whether it be in person or on the phone and its clear to see that these two individuals have a great work ethic going on between them and actually care about what goes on in their communities.

Unfortunately we have had dealings with other Scottish Health Council offices and the service hasn’t been as good. The Fife office answer the phone like they are fed up, very monotone way of answering the phone and sound uninterested and often cant connect us to people we need to speak to, Lothian office don’t seem to want to give us the time of day, they seem to want to get us off the phone as quickly as possible and often we hang up without having our query answered.

Also staff from this organisation seem to come to meetings just sit at the back, taking notes and providing no information as to what they are there for, in Forth valley they always introduce themselves and explain who they are, what they do and how they can be of support, it makes such a difference to the public to have that type of engagement and the Forth valley girls have it spot on.

The Forth valley office is clearly the office setting the standards of the Scottish Health Council. Pauline and Michelle are a credit to this organisation, their skills, determination, knowledge and support, they are clearly experts in their field and the quality of service they provide is second to none. At all times I and my friends have found both Michelle and Pauline to provide a reliable service, they work tirelessly to get the best result and provide high quality service to us in the community. They are both conscientious, and courteous, showing a very high level of commitment and providing an invaluable service to us and provide us with a professional, caring and highly efficient service.

Its about time the rest of the offices of the Scottish Health Council started to provide the same level of service and actually engage with us in the community and provide a bit of consistency across your organisation.

Well done Pauline and Michelle at the Scottish Health Council Forth Valley - NHS Forth Valley would do good to take note at the service provided by these young ladies as this is exactly what us in the community want from our health services, these ladies are clearly two individuals going places and are ones to watch out for in the future and we are glad that they are working in our area.
