(as the patient),

Is this for real?   I am an Adult who received excellent care from a professional department in an NHS Hospital. Are words too difficult for those who read these opinions that they need to have pictures?

I am really glad to hear that you received excellent care from the endoscopy team at Queen Margaret's - they get a lot of positive feedback!

As one of the Care Opinion team I wanted to pick up on your comment about the pictures which are available to everyone when telling their story. We are really proud of our picture stories feature which we developed in partnership with Talking Mats, a globally renowned social enterprise, whose innovative, award-winning communication tool is based on extensive research by Speech and Language Therapists.

One of Care Opinion's values is inclusivity and we promise to work to make our service accessible and helpful to the widest range of people we can. Although using pictures in stories is available to everyone, we developed the feature with people affected by dementia or anyone who has a communication difficulty, in mind. Our work was supported by Life Changes Trust.

Staff in the Endoscopy team and in health and care services across the UK respond enthusiastically to stories shared in words, pictures or a mixture of both - it's great to see.

Thanks for your post on Care Opinion. It's lovely to read that you felt cared for and found our staff efficient and professional when you were in our Endoscopy Unit recently.

Our staff really appreciate that patient's take the time to give their feedback, it means a lot to them and I will share your post with them now.

With regard to the picture stories, I note the reasoning and accept it may work for those patients you describe.
