"Terrible moving hospitals before my baby is born"

About: North Middlesex Hospital / Maternity care

There has been a lot of problems and as a result I do not have enough faith to carry on here and am now moving hospitals. From the outset even booking in to begin with has been a problem, I can never get through on the phones & I have the numbers and extensions for all different departments. I had miscarried one of my twins & the people dealing with me didn't even seem to know. I have had lots of urine infections and there was no record of the antibiotics I had already been given I was asked which ones so that I could try different ones. They have rang me to say I need to call back urgently for results & I haven't been able to get through after calling consistently for 3 days. There is no way I trust to have my delivery here. My consultant has been very good & friendly but that is not enough.

Dear Kate

I am sorry to hear that your experience fell below the standards of care I would expect. You must be having an anxious time during your pregnancy and our role is to ease these anxieties not compound them. Can I ask you to contact the Matron for the antenatal services personally? Her name is Carole Shibley and her email is carole.shibley@nhs.net or on her number is 020 8887 3831. Please accept our apologies.

Kind Regards

Shereen Nimmo
