"Great staff! Lovely hospital !"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

What I liked

The dermatology staff were fantastic! The doctors and nurses were very friendly caring and efficient and treated me with respect and were happy to answer any questions or queries I had ,They involved me fully in any decisions about health care and listened to and respected any views or queries or input about my condition i wanted to discuss with them!

Even the doctors were very friendly caring and happy to discuss any queries I raised with them which I was very impressed with .as in some other hospital I attended in past in Middlesex I found the doctors to be very impersonal unfriendly uncaring and unwilling to discuss issues your doctors were not at all like that and were first rate! The nurses too were brilliant and thanks to your wonderful dermatology team and I am feeling a lot more comfortable and well on the road to recovery!

What could be improved

Dont like car parking arrangements,I find it unfiar that patients should have to pay the hospitals high car parking charge.Even at a £2 charge for a two hour or less appointment mounts up when you have to attend hospital several times a month particularly for people like me who are on a low income and my husband unable to work and on incapcity benefit.

I think it would be nice it the hospital would start automatically isssuing free parking passes along with any appointment letter or appointment conformation.

Nice to hear that the staff in Dermatology were friendly, caring and efficient. We charge £2 for three hours car parking and if your appointment overruns three hours you can speak to the clinic staff and they'll authorise the £2 charge. We do encourage people to use the Park and Ride bus service which only costs £1 and is free for senior citizen bus pass holders after 0930. Alternatively if a friend or relative can drop you off and pick you up at NNUH we make no charge for the first half hour of car parking.
