"First first at this surgery, left feeling..."

About: London Lane Clinic

Due to moving to a new area, i was informed that i would need to register at a new doctors surgery. After spending over ten years with my previous doctor, this left me in a worried state as you build a rapport with your doctor. Anyway to the point, it was my first time seeing a doctor at this surgery and i was extremely unimpressed with the service i received. I sat down and explained some symptoms i was experiencing. i believed my problem to be a urine infection. So, instead of being asked to provide a sample and then it be tested there and then by the doctor, and sent off to be examined, as per many previous experiences. The doctor asks me if i had a sample, to which i responded no, i was not aware you provided a sample before speaking about your symptoms to your doctor. they then responded with, i will provide you with some antibiotics and see how you get on. Baring in mind, no test had been taken to ensure it was a urine infection. I let them know that i wasn't happy with this, 'solution'. And asked why they could not test here and now, to which they said the stick tests are not reliable. Never has this been said to me before and its always provided my doctor with a result. There was no way i was to take antibiotics for something i wasn't 100% was the issue, i am not a doctor!! we left it at me sending a sample to the lab and wait for the results. I did attempt to mention other symptoms to the doctor on a different matter and asked if they could suggest somewhere that i could pay and have some food allergy tests done. This was ignored, i was told to focus on one thing at a time. To be honest, it was by far the worse service, if you could call it that, that i have experienced. it felt like they wanted me in and out of that room, i spent less than 5 mins in there.

Would receive a warmer welcome from a walk in centre. least they are prepared to test etc before handing out antibiotics... safe to say, left the surgery no better off. No faith in the service what so ever.
