Should have shut while work was going on or should have been offered a better private hospital

My daughter came in as a private day patient at 12pm was not told until 3:30 it would be another hour which turned into 1 1/2 hours. There is extensive work going on all around and all we heard was banging drilling etc. Room was dreary and window sill very dusty from work being done directly beneath room. .

We are so sorry that this patient and her parent had an unpleasant experience with us. As they say, we were going through extensive refurbishment and despite every effort made to maintain high standards of cleanliness, inevitably some dust does escape. It is not possible to shut a hospital completely whilst work is going on for many reasons, and so we worked hard to complete it in phases to minimise disruption where possible. All work has been completed and we have had good feedback from the CQC about our Hospital and its facilities.
