"Wrong information"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Urology

(as a relative),

So my father had a lump and GP sent an urgent referral to urology department. Was seen within two weeks - but a very poor appointment. For a kick of he didn’t see the consultant that was said on the letter. The doctor he saw was very dismissive, suggested taking antibiotics and going for a scan which letter came in and is not for another 6 weeks after saw. Answer me why if a GP has urgent, if patient explaining the way feeling - still a further 6 week wait. And prescribing antibiotics when no infection was detected?

Update posted by Little miss Disney (a relative)

Thanks Donna. I am so angry a further letter today to delay it yet another week. Great to see NHS Forth Valley act fast when a patient appears with a lump.

Good Morning,

I am concerned to hear your father has received communication of further delays with his scan, I can appreciate how frustrating this will be for both you and your father. Could you please contact me to allow me to gain a better understanding of your concerns and your father's details. Thank you for taking the time to update us of the delays in your father's case, I am very keen to speak with you to allow me to provide some help and assistance.

kind regards

Elaine Kettings
