(as a service user),

I went to the doctor mid week for a bad ear infection. Was prescribed an antibiotic. I go to the pharmacy and they are surprised, and say: this drug has been off the market in a while. You should ask for your doctor to change prescription. I phone and they let me know they will send the prescription straight to the pharmacy asap. Prescription was in the week later. Had ear infection one week more than needed.

I'm sorry you appear to have had difficulties in obtaining a prescription in a timely manner. We would like to investigate this further and understand what happened. Please contact the surgery so we can look into this and provide a more thorough explanation.
