What I liked
It was like being abroad on holiday in a third world country but I didn't need my passport
What could be improved
Everything. Do not go to this maternity unit if you have any other choice. Grubby, blocked toilets, disengaged staff, I wanted to bring my daughter out but she was too ill to leave and wasn't getting any care that I could see.
Too much information given that stirred up worries un necessarily (designed to protect medical staff in case of law suit) no reassurance, absolutely no bedside manner.
Food is apparently dire. My neice who had her baby there sometime ago had warned us to 'pinch thr midwife to make sure she was awake'...I thought that amusing until I met the midwife
In the 21st century this is a disgrace....shabby treatment delivered in shabby surroundings..
Anything else?
Feedback is a waste of time there have been other comments about the state of this hospital an maternity care......
The NHS needs to work harer and pullits socks up the basics are not expenmsive or rocket science. I am sick of medical staff whinging on about their pay an conditions as if they are the only people who have to work hard (no evidence of this on my visit) they were sitting at the nurse's station as per usual.
"appalling"
