"Cancelled appointments and Missing prescription..."

About: Dr S M Chen & Partner

Twice in the last 6 months I have requested a repeat prescription, only to find items have been missed from the request the surgery forwarded to the chemist.

These are for items that have been accepted that I'll be required to take 'for life' after a heart attack.

After the first occurrence of the missing items, at the request of the surgery, I made an appointment to see the in-house pharmacist for a prescription review.

I arrived at the surgery in good time only to find the appointment was cancelled 5 mins after it was supposed to have occurred...while I was sitting in reception.

Again, last week, after filling in the online repeat prescription request...an item was not included on the list sent to the chemist.

It's a good job I'm not someone with memory problems who would just take whatever was presented to me and no realise I was missing important medication.

Plus....no-one ever says they are sorry when problems are pointed out.

We are sorry that you have had bad experience with your repeat prescription. We are constantly trying to review our prescribing system and if you have had a problem with your prescription, we would encourage you to put this in writing so that the surgery can look into it. We will also inform staffs to take note of any complaints patients have with regards to their prescription and discuss this in practice meetings.
