"My welfare was of paramount importance"

About: Knowsley NHS Walk-in Centre, Huyton

(as the patient),

I am a 92 year old man taking about a dozen pills a day, one of which makes my skin very thin. The least shock and the skin comes off and leaves a nasty wound which bleeds profusely.

I had a fall recently and took about 1 square inch from my left arm just below the elbow which as usual bled quite a lot, so I went to the walk-in clinic and was treated like I wish everyone could be treated.

I felt I was the only one that mattered, and my welfare was of paramount importance. The nurse was extremely gentle and made me feel at ease.

I was helped with my coat and was given an appointment for the next Monday.
