Suffered with gall bladder pain on and off for 5 years, had acute pancreatitis when pregnant with my son. Suffered many attacks last year and finally after many trips to A and E waiting for four hours with pains (walked out on two occasions after 4 hours) got to an appointment to see consultant. Consultant told me how life threatening pancreatitis is and how someone died from it recently with gall bladder issues. Was set a date for pre op which I attended in January and a week later was back in hospital with acute pancreatitis and stuck stones! Went back two/three weeks later to have the stones removed and was told numerous times that the gall bladder would have to come out sooner rather than later. Forward to march and told my op would not be until end of May at the earliest as the consultant has lots of holidays to take. This results in me paying the go private through my husband's work. Absolutely discusting that the gallbladder was not taken out sooner after a second acute pancreatitis, other health official have been shocked at this! Today I had my gall bladder finally removed rovatley. Shame on you for wasting my time all these years/months.
"Disappointed yet again."
