"shame about the admin staff"

I have been a patient here for 14 years now and have never come across a surgery where the reception staff are so disrespectful and downright rude. On a number of occasions I have been insulted by them when calling to ask for an appointment with absolutely no aggravation. Having been told once it was my fault I was having to reorder through the GP and shouldn't have left my repeat so late - not sure where they got this information as I simply asked for an appointment. A further incident I was told it 'wasn't the doctors responsibility to move their schedule around for me' simply because I asked for an appointment before 9 or after 6 anytime in the next month!

The doctors, however, more than make up for the visit, often apologising on the receptionists behalf and booking appointments for me so as to bypass them next time.

I am sorry that you feel that our reception staff have not been helpful.
