"Fracture clinic"

About: County Hospital / Accident and emergency

I broke my wrist in February 2018 and had to attend County Hospital. The staff in the fracture clinic were excellent. I was feeling quite despondent at the thought of having a cast on for six weeks but they chivvied me along with good humour. I must say that having the option of glitter on the cast really made a difference to my morale also, whenever I saw the glitter sparkling in the sunlight it cheered me up. It was just a small thing but it made a world of difference.

I also want to say thanks to the orthopaedic consultant I saw who was absolutely outstanding.

Thank you for providing us with this lovely feedback which I will share with the team. I hope that your wrist has healed well and you are now feeling back to your normal self.

Kind Regards
